The 2012 Lorain Men's Slowpitch Champions are St.Lad's as they knocked off the 3 time defending champion Texas Roadhouse/Club West. Congrats to Jeremy Leyva and his team on a great season. Hopefully in 2013 the Lorain Parks and Rec Department will be able to provide slow pitch softball. The passage of the levy in November will be critical for the future. The playoff results from Wed August 1: St. Lads 14 Swagg 13 Texas Roadhouse/Club West 15 Amvets 3 Swagg 16 Amvets 4 The semi- final round is set for Monday August 6 Game times and match-ups are as follows. 6:30: Time Out vs. Swagg (winner to 8:30) 7:30: St. Lad's vs. Texas Roadhouse/Club West (winner to Championship) 8:30: winner of 6:30 vs loser of 7:30 (winner to Championship)

The opening of the playoffs on Monday saw the following results.

Amvets won on a walk off with a win over Time Out 9-8
Swagg pulled away late to knock off McAllister 14-3
and Time Out stayed alive by eliminating McAllister 21-9.

The playoff schedule for Wednesday August 1:

6:30:  Swagg vs. St. Lad's
7:30:  Amvets vs. Texas Roadhouse/Club West
8:30:  Loser of 6:30 vs. Loser of 7:30
